Hineni means "Here Am I": Isaiah's response to God's call. How do we respond to God's call? President Len Williamson, supported by wife Janica, started Hineni Ministries to bring the voice of God into the business world. Riverton Place is a men's residential recovery program. Under the umbrella of Union Gospel Mission, Riverton Place brings hope to men of all ages dealing with issues of addiction. In addition to recovery services, the nine month program is focused on God's word and the love of God, with an intense discipleship program. St. Paul's and Riverton Place have worked together for many years, with the St. Paul's Women's Group decorating a room at Riverton Place and Riverton men helping repair the St. Paul's church roof. Every month, St. Paul's members take cake, ice cream and birthday cards to the men celebrating birthdays during that month. God's Grace in Action is an organization supporting and supported by churches in South King County. GGIA has developed a database of services available to people in need and provides information to churchs to help connect people with services. A great mission outreach is the collection of school supplies for kids. St. Paul's is a big supporter of this outreach and collects supplies every fall to help kids be successful in school. This year, our Quilting Ladies created 65 beautiful quilts. The quilts were blessed at a May worship service and then distributed to Riverton Place and to Lutheran World Relief. Pastor Lowell Stime reported seeing a quilt on a trip to Israel. The owner reported it came form LWR -- maybe it was made right here at St. Paul's!
